HOUSE RULES

 

Arrival & Departure

Check In Time: 3:00 p.m. 

Check Out Time: 11:00 a.m. 

Please adhere to these times. This will allow the owners to ensure that the house is carefully cleaned between one guest and the next. If you require early check in or late check out , please advise us in advance in order to check the availability. 

Security-Safety

The area is generally safe; however, usual common sense procedures apply. 

Please lock the property at night and whenever you are not at home. We recommend to keep your valuables in the safe. 

Guests are requested to take all adequate precautions when using the villa and its facilities as well as paths around the house, garden, stairs and pool. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children at all times. 

We have to emphasize that - like in most houses - stairs, swimming pool, balconies, etc. are major areas of risks for young children without parental supervision. We do not accept liability for any accident or injury. 

Wind

Mykonos is a windy island and wind can pick up at anytime of the day and night. Make sure that all doors and windows are closed or secured so they don't bang and break. Please note that it's your responsibility to prevent any damages to the house due to the wind. 

Fire Safety

The villa is equipped with fire extinguishers for use in small fire situations. The kitchen is also equipped with smoke detectors. Open fire (e.g. candles) is prohibited inside the property. 

Pool Safety

The pool is there for your enjoyment, as long as you act safely and responsibly. Please ensure that an adult is always aware of the whereabouts of children paying particular attention to non-swimmers & very young children. The owners of the villa accept no responsibility for any injuries and/or claims resulting from the use of the pool or its equipment. Guests use the pool at their own risk. 

Here are the basic house rules for all pool users: 

  • No glassware in pool area. 

  • No diving or horseplay or running. 

  • No inflatable ball games at the pool.

  • Do not leave food or beverages in the pool area. 

  • Children must be supervised at all times. 

  • Please advice immediately if any broken glass fall into the pool. 

  • Please do not use any kind of oil-base tanning as it can permanently stain the sun-bed mattresses.

Quiet hours

We kindly ask you to be considerate of your neighbors, and refrain from noise from 23:00 to 08:00 as local law dictates. You may not use the sound system during quite hours. Please make sure that you and all members of your party refrain from doing anything that may cause a nuisance or annoyance to any occupier of neighboring properties. 

Smoking

Please refrain from smoking within the villa. You may use the outside terraces and balconies for smoking. 

Air conditioning

Keeping doors & windows closed keeps the villa at a comfortable temperature. Please note that air conditioning works efficiently only if the doors and windows are kept closed. 

Electricity

Electricity black outs are not uncommon in Mykonos during the summer months and for this reason we have equipped this villa with an in-house power generator. Please avoid to overload the system when the power generator is on. 

Water

Please be advised that due to unusually severe drought, there may be water shortages experienced across the island. Please ensure that your water usage is kept at a minimum during your entire stay and avoid unnecessary waste of water resources. 

It is recommended not to drink tap water. 

Barbecues

The villa has two barbecues. The use of the equipment is at guests risk and liability. 

House keyS

You will receive two (or more) sets of keys which must not be passed on to non-residents. In case of loss of keys a replacement fee of €200 per set will be charged. 

Safe

The villa is equipped with eight safes. In case of loss of a safe box key a replacement fee of €100 will be charged. We do not accept liability for any damage or loss of your personal belongings and valuables. 

Toilets

Local toilet systems have smaller waste pipes for flushing than in other countries and they are easily blocked. We kindly ask our guests not to throw toilet paper, sanitary napkins or other objects in the toilets. 

Maintenance

Maintenance of the garden and the pool is provided twice a week. The maintenance staff will do everything in its power not to disturb your vacation. We kindly ask that you collaborate by accepting the presence (as discreet as possible) of maintenance personnel.

Pets

No pets are allowed without the written permission of the owner of the villa. In case such a permission is granted, the owner of the pet is responsible for its behavior in the house and surrounding area and is liable for all damages, accidents and physical injuries caused. 

Pest control

This is a home in an island with local creatures. Lizards, ants, spiders, wasps, hornets, bees are native to this area. The villa is regularly and professionally pest controlled sprayed. 

Garbage

Please help us keep bugs (and small animals like cats) away from the villa by closing containers of food and by not leaving any garbage or food or beverages in the outdoor spaces, the gardens, or by the pool. 

Security Deposits

A refundable deposit is required before or upon your arrival. It will be returned to you after inspection of the villa. 

Examples of typical security deposit charges: 

Replacement of broken appliances, lamps, glasses, dishes. 

Clean up services for stains and spills (e.g. sofas, build-in sofa pillows, nail polish spills, etc) 

Repair and/or replacement of damaged furnishings. 

Repair and/or replacement of broken or damaged window blinds and/or curtains. 

Loss of house keys and/or safety box keys. 

Please take some time during your first day to inspect everything and check that the villa indeed is undamaged and in perfect condition 

Termination

In the event of disregard of the house rules, the host has the right to refuse the providing of further service and to terminate the accommodation agreement.
